SOLID-STATE MAMMOGRAPHY DETECTORS
Advanced Instrument Development, Inc. has been supplying solid-state AEC detectors as original equipment to OEMs for many years. The detectors employ one to three large-area PIN photodiodes manufactured exclusively for AID and this application.
The active field area(s) of each detector are offset towards the front of the housing to allow positioning close to the patient's chest wall.
